Asphalt sealcoating, crack sealing, and striping for Donner Lake driveways and lots, from the crew that’s maintained Sierra pavement since 1965.
Working in Donner Lake
The cabins and homes ringing Donner Lake come with some of the steepest, shadiest driveways in the area — short approaches dropping off South Shore Drive and Donner Pass Road that see plow berms all winter. The Donner Lake Property Owners Association is on our client list.
Steep, shaded pavement is where crack sealing pays for itself fastest: meltwater runs downhill all day and refreezes in every gap at night. We schedule Donner Lake work with in-town Truckee jobs, usually same-week during the season.

Donner Lake is straight west of town on Donner Pass Road, minutes from the yard. The lake sits in a bowl with the old highway climbing the west end, so the approach is easy but the properties themselves get steep fast.
In the low 6,000s the season is real but not generous. Pavement at this elevation usually needs the snow gone and the base genuinely dry before sealer will bond, which in most years puts the start in June. Fall closes the window early too, so crack work is the piece that has to happen before the weather turns.
The lake ring is short, steep driveways and tight lakefront access, a lot of it built decades ago. Grades that severe shed water toward the pavement rather than away from it, so drainage and crack sealing carry more weight here than a fresh coat of black does.
No such thing. Driveways are a large share of what we do, and small jobs get grouped efficiently on the schedule. The only thing that makes a small job hard is calling in late in the season.
That is how we prefer to do it. Pavement condition drives the whole scope, and a quote made without seeing the surface is a guess. Call us and we set up a walkthrough from there.
